Hi, my name is Dani Mendonsa
The Baobab Money Tree Series is set in Southern Africa. A lovable tour guide, Sassy, walks 7-10 year olds through important money concepts. Each family that lives by the watering hole provides kids with the opportunity to look at Budgeting, Meal Preparation, Entrepreneurship, Saving and more. Join me as we learn Financial Literacy concepts in a fun and engaging way!
I am a K-6 certified Elementary School teacher in Richmond, Virginia, and my passion for teaching students about money inspired me to write these books. I integrated financial concepts into my classroom whenever I could and quickly found that Literature was the easiest way to do so. This is why I decided to publish a book series and an Elementary curriculum that weaves financial literacy concepts into an Elementary K-5 day.
